Fourth Quarter User Group Meeting Rescheduled

The Nashville Area ACL User Group is rescheduling its fourth quarter meeting for 2016. The new date is tentatively set for Tuesday, November 8, 2016. More information will be forthcoming.

2016/2017 Officer Elections

We just selected a new president, but all other officer positions are currently up for re-election. Please vote!

Members should receive a link to the ballot in their email. If you are a current member and have not received a ballot, please contact by September 30, 2016.

ACL Week of Training by PIA Consulting

Mr. Marc Garcia will be leading Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes the week of October 3-7 in Downtown Nashville at the First Baptist Church on Broadway. We have separated the training into two sessions. The Beginner class will meet Monday and Tuesday, October 3 & 4 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The Intermediate and Advanced classes will meet Wednesday through Friday, October 5-7 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

2016 Q2 User Group Meeting

The Nashville Area ACL User Group will be holding its second quarterly meeting for 2016 on Tuesday, April 12.

Presenters will be:
Ricky Cathy and Karen Stachowski, who will be presenting on using simple searches to identify potentially fraudulent activity.
Suzanne Smotherman, who will be presenting on basic ACL skills such as creating projects, sorting and classifying data, etc.

Participants in these meetings are eligible for up to two hours NASBA-accredited CPE.

As always, breakfast will be provided.

Free Day of Training March 28, 2016

The Nashville Area ACL User Group will be sponsoring a free day of training on Monday, March 28 (03/28/2016). Registration will begin at 8:00 AM; the actual training will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

2016 Q1 ACL User Group Meeting - *Alternative Venue*

The Nashville Area ACL User Group will hold its first meeting for 2016 on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The event will be held in the community room of the Metro Police South Precinct. This is a new venue for us; please make sure you show up at the right place! The address is available below. A map is available here.

The Fourth Quarter ACL User Group meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 10, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The training location remains the Metro Southeast building, 1417 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, TN 37217. A map is available here.

The meeting will kick off with an hour-long presentation on using MS SQL Server alongside ACL to complete your audit goals. Suzanne Smotherman of the Tennnessee Department of Treasury will present this material.
